Waterfall, Agile and Change Control,
in one platform
Plan a waterfall program with WBS, Gantt and the critical path. Deliver in sprints on a Kanban board. Govern scope with CCB approvals and auto-baselines. Track hours that roll straight into earned-value reports. All in one bilingual tool — self-host or cloud.

One tool. Every methodology.
What X-Project actually does
Every capability below runs against the same data model — no bolt-on modules or separate databases.
Planning & WBS
Hierarchical tasks with WBS codes, summary roll-ups, drag reorder, imports / exports and template projects.
Agile & Sprints
Backlog with prioritisation and capacity, sprint dates, Kanban board and Story / Bug / Epic / Spike links.
Change Control (CCB)
Turn on per project. Every scope, schedule or cost change flows through a review board; implementation snapshots a fresh baseline.
Dependencies & CPM
Four dependency types with lag, red critical-path Gantt, cross-project and external (vendor) dependencies.
Time & Cost
Weekly timesheet grid feeds task actual hours, project actual cost via the rate card, and every earned-value number downstream.
Governance & Reports
Charter, stage gates, stakeholders, risks, requirements, milestones, portfolio and EVM reports — for every project.
WBS, Gantt and the critical path
Waterfall or hybrid teams build a work-breakdown structure, set dates and dependencies, and see the timeline in a Day / Week / Month / Year Gantt with the critical path in red. Baselines freeze the plan so schedule drift is measured against an agreed reference — and are captured automatically when a change request is implemented.

Kanban and sprints, done properly
Sprint teams work a Kanban board (To Do → In Progress → In Review → Done), groomed from a shared backlog with capacity and sprint dates. Stories, bugs, epics and spikes are first-class work items with issue links (blocks / is blocked by / relates to / duplicates). Status stays friction-free — change requests govern scope, not the board.
Change control with automatic baselines
Enable change control per project and every scope, schedule or budget change becomes a change request with a workflow: new → under review → approved / rejected → implemented. Implementation snapshots a fresh baseline automatically. The Change Inbox rolls requests up across every project so nothing hides in a single team's tab.

Internal, cross-project and external dependencies
Four internal dependency types (Finish-to-Start · Start-to-Start · Finish-to-Finish · Start-to-Finish) with lag. Cross-project dependencies with two-sided visibility. And a dedicated External Dependencies register for vendor and partner commitments — each with owner, status, promised and forecast dates, and a communication log.
Portfolio, EVM and hours — one screen each
The Portfolio view rolls every project's schedule, budget and health into one screen. Timesheet hours feed earned-value metrics — PV, EV, AC, CPI, SPI, EAC — with no double entry. Hours Report, Milestones and dashboards give managers the numbers before the status meeting starts.

Where X-Project fits
Traditional PM suites do waterfall well but bolt on agile as an afterthought. Kanban-only tools ship fast but skip governance. X-Project delivers both, in one project.

Frequently asked
Can one project run waterfall and agile side-by-side?
Yes. Pick 'Hybrid' as the methodology and the project gets both a Planning tab (WBS + Gantt) and an Agile tab (backlog + sprints + board). Both feed the same timesheet, the same change control, and the same earned-value roll-up.
How does change control work?
Turn on change control at the project level. Every scope, schedule or budget change becomes a change request with a status flow: new → under review → approved / rejected → implemented. On implementation, X-Project snapshots a new baseline automatically, so variance is measured against approved plans — not memory.
Do you support cross-project or vendor dependencies?
Both. Cross-project dependencies are two-sided (visible to both projects), and external dependencies model vendor / partner commitments with owner, status and a communication log. When a predecessor slips, successors reschedule automatically.
Can we self-host?
Yes. X-Project ships as a self-hostable container or as managed cloud. LDAP, Feishu SSO and audit logging work in both modes.
Is the UI available in Chinese?
Yes — English and 中文 are both first-class, toggled per user. The same instance serves mixed-language teams; every screen, email notification and export respects the recipient's locale.
